A Building Bridges program co-sponsored by Piano Finders, Polara Music, Kendall Ross Bean Music and Karen Lile Productions at Fantasy Studios. Building Bridges built the partnerships between local schools and service clubs, Piano Finders sponsored the recording session time in the studio, Karen Lile Productions designed the educational program for Building Bridges and produced the events. Polara Music and Kendall Ross Bean Music provided the music content for the sessions and Karen E. Lile was the Producer. When Fantasy Studios closed in 2018, the decision was made in 2022 to continue this program on a partner by partner basis with other professional recording studios, TBD.
Participants witness and receive an introduction to the process of recording music in a large professional studio. Participants learn about the different professions that are part of the music recording industry and how musicians can use their musical training for a career as a session musician, engineer or producer. Even though the piano is featured, each session is customized to answer questions of the participants about how their own musical instrument and/or voice is recorded as well. Participants will witness an actual recording and mix session. There are interactions between recording artists, students, parents, teachers and other professionals
