Piano Finders has pianos for sale that are not listed publicly, that range from $2,000 to $5 million in value. What makes the difference in value? Musical instrument value by itself is determined by cost comparison to a comparable piano in the market. But when a piano is over $100,000 in value, it is often because a famous person or place was part of its history and a signature or prior ownership by them has demonstrated it is worth more than the value of the instrument. The “What Music Looks Like Project” is easy for any art teacher to incorporate into the classroom. Students draw art while listening to one of our featured music albums, expressing in art what the music looks like to them. Display art in school or local public space to share the student’s talents.
